When you visit our medieval market town of Frodsham you will find many established family run businesses offering excellent locally sourced produce. From jams and chutneys made from local fruit to delicious homemade pies, freshly baked bread and exquisite cakes, Cheshire handmade fudge and chocolates and handcrafted quality beers from our very own micro-brewery – we have it all.

Close by we have Eddisbury Fruit Farm producing Cheshire Apple Juice and Cheshire Cider from locally grown apples. If you are after a really tasty piece of beef you need to try Red Poll beef produced locally by The Grange Farm at Mickle Trafford.

Eddisbury Fruit Farm - five miles from The Courtyard

Based on the edge of Delamere Forest just four miles from The Courtyard at Kelsall is Eddisbury Fruit Farm. They produce a range of Cheshire's most pure and natural apple juice made from the finest quality apples, all lovingly grown on rich Cheshire soils. Cheshire Apple Juice is grown, pressed and bottled at Eddisbury Fruit Farm.
Eddisbury also produce a range of Cheshire Ciders produced from apples grown, pressed and bottled at their farm and a recent addition is their range of Blackcurrant, Strawberry and Raspberry Fruit Liqueurs which are also produced from fruit grown at the farm.
Take a trip up to Eddisbury and see the full range of products and sample the products before purchasing to get a real taste of the flavours.

Frodsham Microbrewery is a small, friendly, craft based brewery and shop. Barrie and his wife Hazel run it. Why not go and visit the brewery. You can taste the beer, talk to the brewer and buy some of their quality products.

They use only natural products, to ensure and uphold the real ale reputation of handmade, quality bottled beer. The effort they take to produce a superior locally brewed beer comes through in the taste.

The Grange Farm – four miles from The Courtyard

The Rowlands family has been farming here since 1947. Their main activity is breeding of the traditional Norfolk and Suffolk herd, Red Poll cattle. They graze the lush meadows of the River Gowy most of the year and produce mature beef providing greater flavour, available in any quantity, direct from the farm.
